We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Customized Active Rehabilitation Program. Back in Motion offers one-on-one Occupational Therapist assessment and Kinesiologist guided exercise therapy to identify and resolve areas of weakness and restriction to ensure a return to health.

Customized Active Rehabilitation (CAR) session includes an assessment to identify areas of weakness and restriction, customized exercise prescription, and education regarding pain-management techniques, pacing, and injury prevention. The goal of these sessions is to help return our clients to their regular life activities, through the education on active rehabilitation (strengthening, mobility and stretching exercises).

Generally, individuals with musculoskeletal conditions respond well to active rehabilitation (Telehealth or in-person). Sessions through Telehealth are right for you if you have been in a motor vehicle accident, have sustained a mild sport injury, neck pain, lower back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, arthritis, osteoarthritis, as well as individuals that would like to maximize your physical well-being and fitness levels.
CAR has proven to be highly effective for individuals:
  • Injured in a motor vehicle accident
  • Experiencing lower back, neck, shoulder, knee pain
  • With mild sports injuries
  • With arthritis or osteoarthritis
  • Interested in maximizing their health and fitness

Clients who have an injury that has kept them from enjoying your everyday life activities, our professional Occupational Therapists and Kinesiologists will develop a customized recovery plan to ensure clients are back on track quickly.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy or equivalent degree. 
  • Registered or eligible for registration with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist within a similar responsible role and in a related type of work setting.
  • Travel may be required within the communities in the London area.
